Toasty warm hands!
Pattern: Hand/Wrist Warmers by Joelle Hoverson
From: Last Minute Knitted Gifts
Yarn: Paton's Jet (wool/alpaca) 1 x 50g skein
Needles : 4mm DPNs
Mods: The pattern is written for 20cm circulars. A thumb hole is created by knitting back and forth on 2 circulars.
I did these on DPNs and added a thumb by the same method as Fetching.
I love this yarn. Definitely my favourite at the moment. I heard this horrible horrible rumour that it's being discontinued. Gasp. I am in denial, just hoping that's not the case!! Its a dream to knit and is lovely and warm. There will be no more cold hands for me on the morning walks now! I really love the variegations in this particular shade - so pretty.
The wrist warmers are perfect for keeping my hands nice and warm while I get on and knit DH a man pair...

They look great! Please tell me it's not true about the Jet. I've got that in mind for the Men's Zippered Raglan Cardy!
Thats what I've heard...I guess that means it will end up being on clearance at some stage...thats about the only good thing I could think of...
Yes I have heard that rumour too. They always have great colors in that Jet yarn. Pity they get rid of the yarns that knitters love. Shouldnt they post a forum and ask us what we would like to keep using or is it too expensive for them to keep producing perhaps. Are you using Jet for your hubby's gloves too.
How gorgeous! They also look like a great gift knit - not too onerous to make for someone else.
Sue Im making hubby's in Inca. Man they are SO warm!! (and chunky). One done...
Yes great gift knitting. Nice and quick, one skein..perfect!
it worked! glad to see you are preparing yourself for the cold, cute mitts.
Hmmmm....I have that book...I need a quick project...and yours are so berrylicious...I'm adding them to the queue!
